John Ralph Frederick, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away March 13, 2019 in Provo. He was born May 20, 1951 in Richfield to Lynn Henry and Beverly Utley Frederick. He married Katherine Peterson, September 13, 1969 in Marysvale.

John joined the U.S. Marine Corps and worked within their computer department. After his military service, he graduated from the University of Utah with two degrees, one in Mining Engineering and the other as a Geological Engineer. He worked in mining his whole career at SUFCO in Salina; Soldier Creek in Price; Skyline in Fairview; and finally with Joy Mining Machinery in Pennsylvania and Australia.

He is survived by his wife of Mt. Pleasant; children: Barbara Ann (Daniel) Wolfe, Pennsylvania; Hilary Dawn (Joseph) Withers, Ephraim; Kayla Lee Frederick, Springville; 5 grandchildren; twin sisters: Jane Wiley and Jan Fox, both of Antimony; sister-in-law, Sandy Frederick, Moapa, NV. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Max Frederick.
