With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of Joe C Bennett's passing on February 5, 2025, at the age of 83, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on September 19, 1941, Joe's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and service. He touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Joe was a remarkable man, always ready with a hearty laugh, and a generous spirit. He had a talent for making people feel special and appreciated. His impact on those around him was profound and lasting.

Joe was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 55 years, Lynda Bringhurst Bennett; and a loving father to seven children: Lesa (Claude) Hamilton, Jodi (Franklin) O’Driscoll, Christy (Jay) Kassebaum, Tyler (Cynthia) Bennett, Travis (Sheree) Bennett, Jolynn (Rodney) Hodson, Mike (Amanda) Bennett and Mandi (Bret) Hansen who affectionately called him Papason. He was also a cherished grandfather to 29 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Joe's family was his pride and joy, and he always made sure to put their needs first, offering them boundless support and love.

Joe had a diverse and fulfilling career as a Utah Highway Patrol trooper, a Sanpete County 911 Dispatcher and an electrician for Southwest Turkey Farm. He was also a quiet veteran of the US Army 2nd Armed Rifle Battalion 48th Infantry, serving 1959 to 1965. His dedication to his country and community was a testament to his strong character and selflessness.

Joe was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a deep knowledge of the gospel and a strong testimony, which guided his actions and decisions throughout his life. His faith was a cornerstone of his character and a source of strength for his family and friends.

In his spare time, Joe found happiness in fishing, his garden and family time (which often led to a good hunting story). A lifelong learner, Joe was always eager to explore and expand his knowledge.

As we remember Joe C Bennett, we celebrate his wonderful life and the legacy of warmth, wisdom, and generosity he leaves behind. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
