Jimmy Goble, 54, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at his home in Gunnison. He was born August 11, 1961 in Gunnison to Boyd Earl and Margaret Marie Johnson Goble.

Jimmy loved his two boys, Anthony and Jesse, and wanted to spend as much time with them as he could. He was very proud of them.

Jimmy loved to talk and would carry on a long conversation with anyone he knew. He was a hard worker and was owner/operator of Harvest Moon Seed Co. for many years. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing and most of all playing his guitar. This was self taught and he spent many hours perfecting his talent. He and his band performed multiple concerts from Sevier County to Salt Lake City. Jimmy loved sports and was a diehard "Pittsburgh Steelers" fan.

Jimmy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons: Anthony James Goble and Jesse Rex Goble, both of Salt Lake City; mother, Margaret Goble, Gunnison; brothers: Jeff Goble and Johnny (Jodi) Goble, both of Gunnison; and his sister, Laurie (Jeff) Morrison, Payson, Utah. Preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center, 80 West Center, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Gunnison Valley Bank in Jimmy Goble’s name.
