Jerry Kay Veater, 58, passed away September 16, 2018 in Richfield. He was born May 27, 1960 in Richfield to Kerry N. Barney and Tonia K. Chavez. He married Teresa Victoria Gallegos on June 7, 2013 in Monroe.

Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He loved to garden with his mother and could grow great vegetables. Also he so enjoyed being in the mountains or the deserts with Mike Sayco and friends. He loved to be with his family gatherings and doing things with his girls. We will all miss him so much and his dry humor. Jerry and his wife had a wonderful life and love for each other. Having both been married previously, they understood what it takes to make a good life together.

Survived by his wife, Teresa; daughters: Tasha (Eddie) Gibson, Jennifer Veater, Casey Veater; mother, Tonia Barney; grandchildren: Rose Johnson, Mardy Johnson, Justin Veater, Lexi Powell, Jackson Gibson; brothers: Joe (Robin) Veater, Victer (Karen) Barney; sisters: Carrie Lynn (Karry) Roberts, Cindy Barney; in-laws: Shawn Gallegos, Matt (Westley) Gallegos, Anthony (Sherri) Gallegos, Martin (Heather) Gallegos; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father.
