Jeannine Daniels
Richfield, Utah
Jeannine Peterson Daniels, passed from this life on June 16, 2017, at the age of 88 in Monroe, UT, and was greeted by her one love, Bob, and her daughter, Julie. She was born November 26, 1928, in Richfield, UT, to Lewis John and Vera Brewer Peterson.
Jeannine was very active in school serving as cheerleader, vice president, editor of the school newspaper, playing the lead role in the school play for two years, and giving the commencement speech at her high school graduation. She attended the University of Utah on a scholarship but only lasted one quarter as she had met the man of her dreams, Robert Spafford Daniels, of Annabella, UT. They were married on April 30, 1948, and made their home in Richfield. They had three children. Bob preceded her in death February 27, 2004.
Jeannine worked for the USU Extension Office but worked and retired from Production Credit Association. She enjoyed her retirement years until her independence was taken from her after having a stroke in 2009. At that time she was told she may never be able to gain control of her speaking or have the use of her left side. Her determination, however, proved them wrong and she overcame these challenges and was able to live at her home until the last 2½ years of her life.
A very talented lady, Jeannine was very organized, a great cook and the best wife/mother/grandmother ever. She played the piano, knitted and did beautiful crewel embroidery. She also enjoyed reading and listening to music. She was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Richfield Fire Department and served on the Richfield Centennial Committee. However, her main service in life was to her family. She was known as a very classy lady.
She is survived by her son, Stephen (Patsy) Daniels, Richfield; and daughter, Annette (Wayne) Hawley, Placerville, CA; grandchildren: Kresta (Derek) Moore, El Dorado Hills, CA; Natalie (Scott) Schnitta, Austin, TX; Jeffrey Daniels, Richfield; and Keri (Martin) Robinson, Richfield; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Julie Daniels; parents; and her sister, Lanice Bonilla.
A "Celebration of Her Life" will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, where friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
