Jeanette Waters Christensen Roderick, 62, passed away February 13, 2019 in Richfield. She was born October 18, 1956 in Richfield to LaMar and Mable Lu Johnson Waters. She married Garth R. Christensen August 16, 1976 in the Manti Temple. They had 2 children, Jackie and Shane. They later divorced. She married Clifford L. Roderick March 22, 1988 in Richfield. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 9, 1999. They had a son, Billy, and later divorced.

Jeanette loved her children, grandchildren and her family. She spent her time working on genealogy, sewing and crocheting. A life-long resident of Richfield, Jeanette had a contagious smile and laugh. She handled her trials and adversity well. She was always kind and considerate and had a giving spirit about her.

Jeanette is survived by her children: Jackie (Colton) Avis, Elsinore; Shane Christensen, Cedar City; William L "Billy" Roderick, Richfield; step-children: Chris Simiskey, Logan; Julia (Paul) Black, Zion’s Canyon; Laurie Roderick, Richfield; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; mother, Mable Lu, Richfield; siblings: Gerald (Cathy) Waters, Richfield; Gloria Cook, Elsinore; Mary Lue (Robert) Hanson, Ogden; Floyd Waters, Richfield; DelMar (Kate) Waters, Monroe; Zandra (Dean) Holgate, Elsinore; Jim (Colleen) Waters, Sigurd; Elaine (Doug) Eberhard, DeBeque, CO.

Preceded in death by her father, Lamar; and step-father, Leon Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
