Jean S. Miller, 79, of Richfield, Utah, passed away March 11, 2014, in Richfield, Utah. She was born June 13, 1934, in Rexburg, ID. to Thomas X. and Arvilla Allen Smith. Jean graduated from Madison High and attended business college in Salt Lake City. Her mother passed away at a very young age and Jean became surrogate mother to her younger brothers and sisters, raising her youngest sister, Kristine, from the age of 15.
Jean married her sweetheart Robert Miller in the Logan LDS Temple, September 25, 1964. Jean worked as a bookkeeper, and retired as the Sevier County Deputy Clerk.
Jean and Bob enjoyed spending the last 16 winters in Beaver Dam, AZ., where they made many friends and where Jean was the happiest sitting on her swing in the sunshine. Jean also enjoyed RV outings and the friendships made during their 15 years with the Good Sams Club. Jean loved music and the opportunity she had to serve in various capacities in the LDS Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Miller of Richfield; children Rhett (Angi) Miller, Logan; Kara Miller, Orem; three grandchildren; five fond nieces and nephews; three sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Richfield 15th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel on Friday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
