Jason Reed Larsen, 52, a lifelong resident of Ephraim, passed away after a long and courageous fight on August 23, 2024 in Utah Valley Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born April 29, 1972 in Mt Pleasant, UT to Ronde and Julie Ross Larsen. He went on to marry the love of his life, Gina Christensen on September 9, 1994 in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with two sons, Kaden and Mckay.
Jason made his living as a lineman and meter tech for Ephraim City Power, and enjoyed working on his fathers farm in his spare time.
Jason was larger than life in personality and spirit. If Jason knew you, you not only knew of his love for you, but you truly felt it. Jason was the type of guy who made a huge impact on everyone who knew him. He loved anything outdoors, from camping, to Harley rides that took him on many scenic rides with the “Wild Burros”. He loved the mountains but mostly he loved his family. He loved busting through snow banks for high tracks, and only ever got “temporarily delayed” and never stuck. He was part of the Larsen/on Army and loved camping and hunting with them. He was a great tease with a sharp wit and a fun sense of humor. No matter the place when the loud sound of a firecracker went off someone always yelled JASON. He left this life on his terms, and was able to have one last poker tournament with friends and family while in the ICU.
Jason was anxiously waiting for his first grandchild Harper, to be born next month. He wasn’t patient enough to wait so he left us to be the first to meet her. He was so excited to be a grandpa.
Jason is survived by his loving wife, Gina; sons, Kaden (Kalli) and Mckay; his parents, Ronde and Julie; siblings: Huggie (Ashley), Casey Jo (Travis) Broadhead, and Brooke (Ryan) Moosman; his maternal grandmother, Donna Ross; a multitude of his “favorite” nieces and nephews, and his Larsen/on cousins.
We would like to acknowledge the professionalism and loving care that was shown to him from Dr. Dallin Olsen and all of the nurses and specialists at Imed, Utah Valley Hospital, and the Sanpete Valley Hospital.
We will love and miss him every day until we see him again.
