Janice FlorenceNielson Jarman, 66, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a 2-year battle with cancer. She was born October 7, 1946 in Richfield to Vance R. and Gladys Ballinger Nielson. She married Joseph Jarman on July1, 1989 in Mt. Pleasant. Later divorced. She adopted Joe’s twin daughters: Christina Mae and Jennifer Rose, on December 5,1990.
Janice grew up and attended schools in Monroe, graduating from South Sevier High School in 1964. Janice also attended Snow College and graduated in 1966 with a Associate of Arts Degree. She also attended University of Southern Utah where she graduated with a major in Elementary Education.
Janice taught in Las Vegas, Nevada; Antimony and Mount Pleasant. She was an EMT for over 25 years and a CNA for 12 years.
Janice is survived by her children: Chrissy (Ben) Melendy; Jenny (Adam) Sheedy; brother, Jeff (Bev) Nielson; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Preceded in death by her parents and great-nephew, Wyatt Jeff Chappel.
Cremation services were held on February 16, 2013 in Colorado Springs. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the Monroe 5 th Ward Relief Society Room, 140 South Main. Interment will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
