Our loving wife, mother, sister and nana, Janette Slagowski Topham Burr, 70, passed away February 6, 2014 in Provo. She was born July 9, 1943 in Ogden to Benjamin and LaFaun Christensen Slagowski. She met and married her sweetheart, Don M. Burr and they shared a great adventure of over 30 years.
Janette was an accomplished vocalist, vocal coach, director, artist and athlete. She could do anything and she did it well. Her greatest gift was being a good friend to everyone. Her favorite thing was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Janette was loving and giving, always putting others first and sharing her talents with all. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Brenda (Marc) Child; sons: Daniel Topham, Glen Topham, Matthew Burr, Todd Burr, Don Burr and Devan Bosch;15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Louis, Jerry (Janice) and Roger (Christine) Slagowski.
Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lorie Softeland; brothers: Don and Neil (Leotha) Slagowski; sister-in-law, June.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Elsinore Ward Chapel, 75 North Center, where friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
