James M. Stewart
Panguitch/Escalante
James Moroni "Jim" Stewart, 38, passed from this earthly life into the waiting and loving arms of his father, Kyle, and brother, Jeffrey, on November 8, 2015. Even though it was not expected, we know the reunion was sweet beyond description.
Jim was born in Panguitch, August 21, 1977 to Kyle Ray and Cindy Taylor Stewart, the oldest of six Stewart children. He led the charge into the chaos and family shenanigans.
After graduation from Panguitch High School, Jim served a full time mission to Wellington, New Zealand. He loved New Zealand, saying it was so green it hurt your eyes. And the Brown Trout were huge, and Jim liked to fish... It was a passion for him, but being a good missionary, he only got to go fishing there once.
He graduated from SUU with a degree in Elementary Education and added a Special Ed endorsement while he was teaching in Ely, NV.
Jim is the father of two, Winston and Sage, both named after quality fishing poles. And Jim liked to Fish...
September 21, 2015, Jim married the love of his life, Wendy Kay Woolsey. He loved her "with all of his heart". And then Wendy and Jimmy loved to Fish...
He is loved and will be missed by all who knew him. The banks of the Sevier River will forever be changed with his passing, as we all are. Fond memories and big fish stories will have to suffice until we see him again.
In addition to his wife, Wendy and children, he is survived by his mother, Cindy Stewart; siblings: Nickolas (Sheena) Stewart, Luke (Elkee) Stewart, Ford (Chelsea) Stewart, Stacee (Justin) Partridge; grandparents, Jim and Sybil Taylor; parents-in-law, Craig and Marilyn Twitchell, all of Panguitch; and many nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kyle and brother Jeffrey.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Panguitch 3 rd LDS Ward Chapel, 550 South 100 West, where friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:30. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery.
And Jim Loved to Fish...
