James Vincent "Jim" Chambers, 91, passed away June 25, 2013 in Victoria, British Columbia. Jim was born July 18, 1921 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Nicholas Pasquale and Petronilla Beatrice Chambers.
He was a veteran of WWII, having served in Italy. After retiring as a professor from Pierce College in the Los Angeles Community College District, he and his wife, Ada, enjoyed their retirement by moving around the country. While living in Aurora, Ada passed away and was buried there. After her death, he moved to northern Utah, Arizona, northern California, southern Oregon and finally landing in Victoria where he was well cared for. It was his wish that upon his death, that he be returned and buried next to his wife in Aurora.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Aurora City Cemetery where military rites will be provided by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Honor Guard.
