James Allred
Venice, Utah
James Louis Allred, 74, of Venice returned to our Heavenly Father on February 21, 2017 in Richfield. His purpose here on earth had been fulfilled, and his purpose on the other side was just beginning as his great-granddaughter, Holland Rhaye Duncan joined him the very next day. Where we know he was anticipating her arrival and there to greet her with open arms.
James was born on August 22, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant to Virgil and Elva Hansen Allred. He married Carol Davis. He is an amazing father to James (Michelle), Tracy (Melody), Torey (Tim) Brown, Roger (Janet), Randy (Candice), and Kelly (Valerie). He was an out of this world grandfather and great grandfather to 24 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
His love for his family was comparable to his love for hunting. He had a remarkable and unforgettable way about him when caring for all his children, and that’s just what everyone was to him. Whether you were his child, grandchild, great-grandchild, or even just a friend of one of them, he was always there to be an active part of your life, and he would raise you as his own. He wasn’t always the most orthodox in situations and maybe a little stubborn, but he always got the job done and you always knew you were loved unconditionally. The life lessons he taught are unforgettable, and sometimes inappropriate. But in our family those moments and memories will be what we cherish the most.
Graveside services and interment will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Venice Cemetery with military honors by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050 and the US Navy Honor Guard.
