Jace Chynoweth
Tropic, Utah
Lonnie Jace Chynoweth, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father after a courageous fight with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) on June 18, 2015 at his home in Tropic. He was a tender 5 years old. He was born May 3, 2010 in St. George, Utah to parents, Klay Doyle and Shayne Pollock Chynoweth, and sister, Allie Christine.
Jace spent his young life in his hometown of Tropic, Utah and the neighboring communities of Bryce Valley where he was surrounded by a loving extended family. He was affectionately called Jace Bud or Jacer. Jace Bud was a beautiful child who had a pleasant nature. He was easy to love.
He shared his dad’s love of heavy equipment. His passion for these machines was uncommon for someone so young. Among his favorite activities were helping his dad operate heavy equipment at Ruby’s Inn or tractors on his grandpa’s farm.
He loved to ride on a speeding dirt bike. And he loved to go fishing, even if the fish weren’t hungry.
His favorite song was "I Love to See the Temple" and he loved seeing the St. George Temple. He loved his Savior Jesus Christ. He loved his family.
Jace is survived by his parents, sister, grandparents: Lonnie and Cheryl Pollock, Tropic; Klin and Nancy Chynoweth, Henrieville; and great-grandparents: Ralph and Lael Chynoweth, Henrieville; and Gloria Clark, Cannonville; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
The family would like to thank nurses Sheri Woolsey and Jennifer Christensen and doctors Michael Marsden and Mitch Miller for rendering their care to Jace.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Tropic LDS Chapel where friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Burial will be in the Tropic Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
