Jaaron Ishmael Martinez

January 5, 1997 — October 22, 2016

Jaaron I. Martinez

Richfield, Utah

Jaaron Ishmael Martinez, age 19, passed away October 22, 2016 in Richfield. He was born to Kjirsten Torla Boucher and Ishmael Martinez on January 5, 1997 in Portland, Oregon. He has lived in Vancouver and Salmon Creek in Washington State; Ivins, Cedar City, Elsinore and Richfield, Utah.

Sometimes mild, and sometimes wild - and ever the jokester, Jaaron was always his own person. One with a strong personality and an active sense of humor, he had a big heart and was always willing to help others in need. He wore his heart on his sleeve and loved his family and friends.

Skateboarding, long boarding, gaming, drawing, music, writing lyrics and short stories were all a part of his free spirit and creativity. He also had a "mad skill" for pulling something random out of the hat just to make people laugh.

He attended high school, most recently at South Sevier and Cedar Ridge. Jaaron was hardworking and determined. He worked at Information Alliance and was doing well. He enjoyed his independence and freedom at a new apartment with friends/roomates.

Surviving him are his mother, Kjirsten; father, Ishmael and wife, Nicole; sister, Shoshana; nephews, Dominiq and Gunner; grandparents: James and Torla Boucher. He is also survived by a "very" large extended family and friends who love and miss him beyond words. We are blessed and grateful for the time we shared with Jaaron, and know that his spirit lives on and that he will be with us always.

Cremation services have taken place.

Please join us for a Life Celebration and Memorial for Jaaron on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. at the Lions Park, 575 West 400 North, in Richfield, Utah (West Pavillion.) Please bring your favorite memories, funny stories, pictures and experiences to share with us. We encourage you to bring your skateboards and skate in his honor.

This is going to be a potluck event. Please bring a dish to share if possible, if not that's ok too. This is a dry event. Please no alcohol of any kind.

We are so grateful that you were all there for him and we'd love to share a night of life celebration with you.  We look forward to sharing this Life Celebration with you, which is in place of a funeral service.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, we respectfully request a donation to help us lay him to rest. We have set up a donation on GoFundMe where you can pay securely, or you can also call Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, Utah (435-896-5484) and donate directly there as well. We'd like to thank all who have helped donate and helped us raise funds.
