Ira Banks "Ike" LeFevre

Ike LeFevre, 94, of Panguitch, passed away August 13, 2011, in Panguitch. He was the oldest resident in Panguitch. He was born August 9, 1917, in Spry, Utah to Leon and Margaret Pearl LeFevre.

Born at Sandy Ranch he is a third generation native son of Panguitch. He was raised on the river by Spry and has enjoyed life to the fullest. He received a purple heart in WWII. Ike spent a year working at Titanium Metals Corp. in Henderson, Nevada, and later returned to Panguitch and worked part-time for the Forest Service. He also worked as a night watchman for Panguitch City. He retired as custodian for Panguitch Elementary. Ike loved deer hunting and fishing and has been a fantastic dutch-oven cook. He enjoyed riding around town in his white GMC truck.

He is survived by his son, Jerrold B. (Deanna) LeFevre, Panguitch; daughters, Raelynn (Bill) Johnson, Paragonah; LaRayne (Kris) Lindsay, Paragonah; sister, Margaret Woolsey, Layton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Nay; and wife, Janet Smith; brothers, Frank, Leon, Ferold and Norm; sisters, Alta, Nelda and Bonnie; grandson, William Kent; great-granddaughter, Lexi and great-grandsons, Woody and Kent.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Panguitch 2 ^nd Ward LDS Chapel, 200 North 400 East. Friends may call at the ward chapel on Friday from 11:00 a.m .to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery with Military Rites by St. George Unit of the 222 ^nd . Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
