Ileen Bastian McBride, our beloved and cherished mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020. She was born to Glen and Laura Louise Kane Bastian in Vermillion, UT on September 11, 1930. Due to the death of her mother when Ileen was just three months old, she was raised by her grandparents, Laura and Michael Kane, with the support of her father and two brothers less than a mile away. She attended Richfield High School and married her high school sweetheart LaMar McBride on July 8, 1948 in Vermillion. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

Ileen served for her church in many callings, including volunteering at the Manti Temple for over 15 years. Last month she completed 150 masks for Project Protect. She managed and retired from the Ashman Elementary School Lunch Program where she worked for numerous years.

Ileen was preceded in death by her infant son Roy Lee; her husband LaMar; one grandson and one great-grandson. She is survived by her children: LaMar Jr. and Kris McBride, Louise and Corey Bott, Sally Ann and Duane Gates, Michelle and Gregory Nielson; 10 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Brent Bastian.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery.
