Deloy Christensen
Escalante, Utah
Howard Deloy Christensen, 78, of Escalante, died in his home on December 30, 2016. He was born on May 2, 1938 in Boulder, Utah, to Howard and Thelma Coleman Christensen. He married Rosemarie Lobby in December of 1956, they had two girls together and later divorced. He then married Marlyn Kay Barney in August of 1968, they had two children, and they later divorced. At the time of his death he was with the love of his life, Julie Ford.
Deloy worked in the logging industry for most of his life. He loved the outdoors. If Deloy wasn’t at home he was either out hiking, trapping, fishing or hunting. There wasn’t a mountain in the Escalante valley that he hadn’t hiked or a lake or stream he hadn’t fished. If Deloy stopped by after a fishing trip it was to brag about how many fish he had caught. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
