Helen Bradley
Ephraim, Utah
Helen Squire Bradley, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born on August 9, 1936, in Clarion, Utah, to Ivan and Bertice Squire.
She was the second of eight children, and she enjoyed growing up on the family farm with her brothers, sisters, and parents. She learned at a very young age to accept responsibility and enjoy the value of hard work and a job well done.
She married her sweetheart, Larry Jefferson Bradley, on August 30, 1955, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They spent more than 65 wonderful years together. Helen loved her family more than anything in the world. She loved family trips in the mountains, camping up Six Mile, and traveling with her children. Helen adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and counted them as her most valued blessings in her life. She cherished every single visit from them all! Her favorite thing was to share hugs! She felt hugs were the best gifts one could give and receive. She had a very special recipe for mud pies, and she shared it often! She enjoyed quilting and sewing, and excelled at both, often sharing her talent with family and friends. She worked as a librarian at Ephraim Middle School for twenty years. While there, her favorite part about the job was building strong relationships with the students. Upon retirement from Ephraim Middle School, Helen devoted that same work ethic and value of a job well done to family history. She spent countless hours gathering, recording, and filing the history of her family and even gathered and recorded significant happenings in central Utah. Helen strived to live her life to the fullest after Larry’s passing on February 18, 2021.
Helen is survived by her five children: Jeff (Carolyn) Bradley, Ephraim; David Bradley, Ephraim; Ron (Cindy) Bradley, Sterling; Gary (Deyette) Bradley, Trenton; Janice (Mark) Tapp, Hurricane; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Norma and Lodel. She is survived by her siblings: Everd (Lorna) Squire, Mona; Nolan (Carolyn) Squire, Gunnison; Roland (Jeannie) Squire, Logan; Jane (Fred, deceased) Bohman, South Carolina; Garlyn (Debbie) Squire, Clarion.
