Helen Anna Wilson, 95, died in Manti on July 8, 2012. She was born in La Grande, Oregon, on July 7, 1917 to Lewis Martin and Jessie Wintch Jensen. Helen married Hewitt Vernon Wilson on October 7, 1953 in San Rafael, Calif., later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They had one daughter, Mary Pipes, Manti. Helen graduated from Snow College and taught school in Manti, Ephraim and Gunnison before attending Brigham Young University to finish her elementary education degree. She worked in Salt Lake City before moving to California where she earned a Masters in education. Helen taught school in San Rafael until 1981 when Hew died and she returned to Manti to care for her mother.
Helen spent her life serving others. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and Manti Ladies Literary Club. Helen was a member of the LDS Church and worked for many years at the family history center. She also held many positions in church auxiliaries.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She loved birthday parties, having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren come for Grandma's night, and attending the temple.

At Helen's request, no funeral services will be held. Buried in the Manti Cemetery on July 10, 2012 under the direction of Magleby Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, Helen requested donations be made to the LDS General Temple Patron Assistance Fund.
