Hazel Mae Anderton Nebeker, 99, passed away at her home in Richfield, Utah on July 31, 2018. She was born May 2, 1919 in Brooklyn, Utah to Don S. and Hazel Fern Levie Anderton. She married Grant L. Nebeker, July 9, 1938 in Junction, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple. He preceded her in death October 25, 2000.
Mae worked at Merrill’s Drug on Richfield’s Main Street for many years. She worked in other areas before she began her career as a telephone operator in Richfield and retired as Chief Evening Operator with Mountain Bell in the early 1980s.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings. She was a member of the DUP, Camp Sevier. She loved her family, her home and took great pleasure in the beauty of the outdoors.
She is survived by her children: Hartly (Sharee) Nebeker, LuGene Kesler, KayLyn (Forrest) Hansen, Lane G. (Jacquelyn) Nebeker; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister, Betty Baker, St. George.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; 3 grandchildren; siblings: Tom, Art, Don, Shirley, Elaine, Robert, Donna Rae.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
