There was a joyous reunion on January 10, 2017, when Hazel Dawn Macfarlane Magleby, 87, passed away in Orem. Dawn was reunited with her mother, who died when she was 3, and her father, who died when she was 22.
Dawn was born August 5, 1929 in Cedar City, Utah to Glen and Hazel Stevens Macfarlane. She married E. Merrill Magleby, July 28, 1948 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death October 6, 1977.
After the passing of her husband, Dawn, at the age of 48, she went back to school and became a nurse. She worked for Kaiser Permenate in Southern California for the next 15 years, until she retired.
Dawn is survived by her children: Paul Merrill (Cathy) Magleby, Orem; John Stephen (Mya) Magleby, Monroe; and David Glen Magleby, Riverside, CA; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; sister Laura Macfarlane, Riverton, WY.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
