Hale M Hubbard, 89, passed away August 6, 2021 in Richfield. He was born January 27, 1932 in Pocatello, Idaho to Curtis Hale and Erma Fore Hubbard. He met Rose M DeSisto in Victorville, CA while he was in the Air Force. They married on April 28, 1954 in Ashton, Idaho.
Served in the Air Force during the Korean war. Following the war, he worked in the supply department on the Victorville Air Force Base. Following his service in the Air Force, he became an Administrative Officer in the Forest Service in Challis, Pocatello, ID; and finishing up his career in Richfield; retiring in 1989.
In his retirement years he worked for Warren River Expeditions, rowing boats on the Salmon River, in Idaho. He was known for his Dutch oven cooking and running marathons. He and Rose were very hospitable—he loved his neighbors and was always willing to be of help. He loved his yard and keeping it looking nice. Western movies and music were a favorite of his.
Hale joined Richfield Bible Church in the early 1990's. He enjoyed putting in the sprinkler system, and doing maintenance at the church.
Survived by his wife, Rose; sons: David Hubbard, Richfield; Steven (Diane) Hubbard, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Katherine and Brian; half sisters: Patti Thompson, Melissa Batters.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Hubbard; brother, Brent Hubbard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors by the V.F.W.
