Grant Andrew Eccles passed away November 18, 2021in Provo. He was 85 years old. Grant was a loving father, spouse, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by Saundra, his wife of 59+ years; his parents, Andrew Ferrald and Helen R McMurray Eccles; sister, Barbara Moore. He is survived by his sister, Sharon Roberts; his 5 children: Mary Jo Judd (George), Gary L. Eccles (Miranda), Carrie Jill Chamberlain, Kevin G. Eccles, Susan Mills; 18 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.

He was born in 1936 in Santa Monica, California, he graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, UT in 1955. He served 8 years in the US Air Force, and then had a 30+ year career in the FAA. After retirement from government service, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree at age 69. He continued working until age 80, doing retail sales and income tax preparation.

Grant was a devoted family man and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings including Elder’s Quorum president, stake high councilman, and Scouting. Grant instilled a work ethic and a sense of humor in his children. His life was a display of honor and courage. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe 5th Ward Chapel, 140 South Main, where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Brigham City Cemetery with military honors.
