Grace Darling Burt Murphy, passed June 2, 2011 at the age of 84, in the care of her nephew, Phillip W. Burt and wife Paulette, in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Grace was born October 19, 1926 in Cedar City, the youngest child of Wilson Gates and Grace Darling Matheson Burt. She married Lloyd E. Murphy, December 24, 1945 in Pioche, NV. He preceded her in death October 1, 2004.
She worked at Hill Air Force Base during WWII and during her life for various super markets as a cashier.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; parents; three brothers and one sister, William C. Burt, David A. Burt, Lily May Burt Angel and Hugh M. Burt.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Barbara B. Burt of Parowan; nieces and nephews, Phillip and Paulette Burt of Elk Ridge, UT, James C. Burt of Carson City, NV, Roger Burt of Parowan, Sally and Don McAllister of Cedar City, Roy Cottrell of Centralia, WA, Ranae and Bill Perry of Middleton, ID, Monna Lee and Gary Barr of Oregon, Marsha Rae Ferrie of Oregon.
Phillip and Paulette wish to thank the owners and staff of Reid’s Park Place in Springville and Hearthstone Manor in Spanish Fork for their loving assistance in caring for Aunt Grace.
A family viewing will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, June 4, 2011 at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West in Richfield. Graveside services will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Parowan Cemetery.
