Gloria Faye Draper Vernon, 68, of Palmdale, California, formerly of Portland Oregon passed away on March 2, 2016, in Palmdale, California. She was born September 19, 1947 in Inglewood, California to Orval and Theo Huntsman Draper. She married Robert Gary Vernon on July 11, 1971 in Carson City, Nevada. After nearly 40 years of marriage he preceded her in death on January 27, 2011.
Gloria’s most treasured gift was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She would say the best time spent was that spent with family and friends.
In heaven is where you will be, still caring very much for us your precious family. Because you are irreplaceable of that there is no doubt, so wonderful to think but so hard to live without
She is survived by her children: Kyra (Dennis) Curry, Portland, OR; Kelli (Jason) Barabasz, Palmdale, CA; Troy Gary (Darlene) Vernon, Anderson, CA; grandchildren: Jacob, Dillon, Alexys, Dominik, Ali, Dennis Jr., Austin, Ashley, Kayela; brothers: Jay Draper, FL, Mike (Becky) Draper, OR.
She was also proceeded in death by her parents; brothers: Gary (Hazel), Leon (Vicki) and Chet (Ilene) Draper; sister-in-law: Ginny.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, where friends may call Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 pm and Thursday, from 10:30am-11:30am. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
