Gloria Hall
Ephraim, Utah
Gloria Sudweeks Hall, 60, returned to the loving arms of her sweetheart on July 25, 2015, Ephraim, after a valiant fight with peritoneal cancer.
Born April 7, 1955, the second of four children to Reid W. and Mary Ella Prince Sudweeks. She grew up in Circleville, UT on a farm bailing hay, chasing cows, and riding horses. She graduated from Piute High School and went traveling with her daughter Amy before setting her sights on college. Gloria came to Ephraim and Snow College the fall of 1975 and found the love of her life Steve in 1976. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1977. They were sealed together for time and all eternity in 1985 in the Manti Temple.
Gloria worked many jobs before embarking on her life’s ambition to take care of others. She graduated with her LPN from Sevier Valley Tech and followed that with 20 years at Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi. Gloria continued this life of caring by taking an early retirement to care for Steve full time. The last three years weren’t easy for Gloria. Three different cancers and the loss of her husband, but always the caretaker, Gloria pushed on to help care for her young grandchildren. Gloria will be remembered as the one always ready to help and care for others.
She is survived by her children: Amy Lyn (Mark) Larsen, Fairview; Curtis Reid Hall, Ephraim; Randi Fay (Mike) Stewart, Ephraim; and Kristalynn Hall, Salt Lake City; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; mother, MaryElla Sudweeks, Circleville; brothers: Michael (Deanna) Sudweeks, Hurricane; Craig (Tina) Sudweeks, Circleville; sister, Lois Bradford, Cedar City.
Gloria was preceded in death by her soul-mate of 36 years, Steven Lynn Hall, who passed away on July 10, 2013, and her father Reid W. Sudweeks.
Gloria’s family wishes to express a special thanks to the IHC Hospice for their kindness and caring over the last two plus years.
