Glenyce Poulson
Richfield, Utah

Our dear mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend, Glenyce Poulson passed away on December 4, 2024, in Richfield, surrounded by family and friends. Glenyce Marie Dillman was born April 28,1932 in Webb, Arizona. She was the 2nd child to Maria and Ivins Dillman. She had an older brother, Laurie; two sisters, Tanya and Esther; and a little brother, Joe.

The family had a small dairy farm in rural Arizona. They all worked hard and she chose to be the family baker. She liked roller skating in the dairy barn when it was clean. School was mostly in a one-room schoolhouse where her mother was the teacher.

Bravely, she took the bus to Provo when it was time to go to college. She graduated from BYU in Home Economics and met her husband, Brooks Poulson there. They married the day after graduating, in the Salt Lake City Temple. She helped him complete his masters degree in Agriculture Business at Utah State. Brooks preceded her in death October 23, 2014.

Glenyce was a busy mother of six. She taught her kids 4-H and entered exhibits in the fair every year. She loved music and sang every chance she got. Glenyce made the girl’s clothes and crocheted. The family loved to go to Twin Creeks at Fish Lake, Cove Mountain and the Bear Valley mountain pasture often. Children and grandchildren came on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. There were cousin sleep-overs, hot rolls, and night games at Grandma’s house.

Glenyce loved to grow a garden with raspberries for freezer jams, cucumbers for dill pickles and hosts of vegetables. Glenyce and Brooks were deeply dedicated to supporting their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always attended every baby blessing, baptism and temple trip. They loved to travel and take yearly family trips. Glenyce was a member of the DUP and the Farm Bureau. She and Brooks served two missions: one to the Nauvoo Temple and another to the Oklahoma Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They served in the Manti temple for 18 years.

Glenyce is survived by all of her children and spouses: Blaine (Lynda) Poulson, Karen (Phil) Stubbs, Craig (Julie) Poulson, Ron (Audrey) Poulson, Annette (Paul) Judd, and Chris (Emily) Poulson; along with 23 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren; her sister, Esther, and two step-brothers Joe and Mark.
