Dale Walker
Provo, Utah
Glenn Dale Walker died July 11, 2016, just 7 days short of his 64th birthday. It seems like just yesterday that I delivered him in the back seat of an old Ford sedan on the mountain highway south of Tacoma, Washington, wiped him clean with a towel, cut his umbilical cord and lay him on his mother’s breast.
We can see it as a blessing that Heavenly Father sent him the message in the middle of the night last night that he was needed at Jesus’ dinner table today. He was moved to the hospital in Provo where he answered the call this morning. He will be dinning with Jesus this evening.
It is said no parent should have to bury one of the their children and I agree, but in this case it was a blessing as he was suffering so much with dialysis. So we have deep mixed feelings. Sadness that he is gone and a feeling of loneliness in knowing we will miss him. Yet joy for him knowing he is now free of pain. We also are blessed by the knowledge that he ran a good race and prevailed to the end and is receiving his reward.
As the saying goes: "It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home."
Cremation services for Dale have been held. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
