Our beloved father, Glenn Robert Bird, 71, passed away January 11, 2012 in Richfield, after suffering for years of diabetes. Glenn was born March 13, 1940 in Salina to Carlyle and Erva Pendleton Bird. He married Sina Idonna Neilson January 14, 1961 in Richfield. They have five children together: Roseanne, Susan, Robert, Don, and Holly.
Glenn served in the National Guard for 4 years. He lived and worked in Salina his whole life. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping
Glenn is survived by his wife, Idonna; children, Roseanne (Tom) Valk, Redmond; Susan (Kevin) Worrall, Redmond; Robert (Heidi) Bird, Salina; Don (Patricia) Bird, Georgia; Holly (RJ) Jensen, Salina; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Glenn has one surviving brother Wayne Bird of Nevada..
Cremation services have already taken place. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Salina 2 nd Ward LDS Chapel, 87 South 100 East . Burial will be at the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
