Glen Alan Brown, 77, passed away unexpectedly April 10, 2015, while running errands in El Paso Texas. He was born December 5, 1938 in Manti to Albert Ramsey and Margaret Faye Thurman Brown. His sister Donna Jean was 7 years his older. He graduated from Manti High School in 1956. He married Carol Jean Tuttle, his childhood sweetheart, on March 22, 1958, in the Manti Temple.
Glen attended the University of Utah completing his Bachelor of Science degree in 1961. He worked as the Human Resources Director for Chevron in El Paso from 1967-1991. He loved to travel exploring the world and visiting his family. His work ethic was unsurpassed, he spent his days working on his houses, his garden and building a strong eternal family. He loved his music, his Apple devices, following stocks and Rocky Road ice cream.
A member of the LDS Church, he was a member of the El Paso Fourth Ward where has served as the executive secretary for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol; and his daughters: Tonya (Kent) Stallings, Rupert, ID; Jacquelyn (Ralph) Watkins, Murrieta, CA; Kimberly (Warren) Rapp, Reno, NV; Kristen (Gary) Baker, Orem, UT; and Jill (Mark) Ingles, Cottonwood Heights, UT; 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and granddaughter Lauren Watkins.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 17, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the Manti 1st Ward Chapel (Red Church), where friends may call on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
