Glade Reynolds

Glade L. Reynolds, 98, passed away August 21, 2019 in Richfield. He was born February 15, 1921 in Henrieville to Cliff and Maud Littlefield Reynolds. He married Mary Delma McInelly July 11, 1946 in Las Vegas, NV. She preceded him in death March 17, 1990. He married Darlene Griffin March 3, 2001 in Richfield. She preceded him in death August 5, 2018.
Glade lied about his age to join the CCC’s when he was 16 to help his family. They helped build bridges and roads in Zion’s National Park and southern Utah towns. He then joined the Army and served in WWII as part of the calvary. After returning home from war he drove mail truck, and retired as a truck driver.
Glade loved to ride his four-wheeler and he owned many. They also enjoyed camping, hiking, and collecting rocks and arrow heads. He would disappear for days on the desert. Grandpa loved to trade vehicles—he owned upwards of 50.
He loved his family and was a great supporter of all of their activities.
Glade is survived by his daughter: Glenna D (Raymond) Sorensen; son-in-law Rodney Christensen, all of Richfield; 5 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Vivian) Reynolds, Provo; sister-in-law, Ann Reynolds, Washington City.
Also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna Christensen; siblings: Keith (Helen) Reynolds, Rhoda (Duane) Barney, Lark (Bea) Reynolds, Jim (Effie) Reynolds, Tom Reynolds, Tony (Arvalee) Reynolds.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at the care center, and also home health who took such great care of our dad and grandpa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 12:00 Noon, in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors by the V.F.W.
