Glade E. Ludvigson, 61, passed away July 6, 2013 in Salt Lake City. He has fought a long battle with 3 cancers, pneumonia and ARDS, his poor body could not fight any longer.
Glade was born June 5, 1952 in Gunnison, Utah to Lafe and Dorthella Ludvigson. He grew up in Sterling with four brothers. He married Vickie Lee Hansen, May 6, 1977 in the Manti LDS Temple. They were the proud parents of five children.
He loved being outdoors, in the mountains hunting with his boys, brothers and nephews. He enjoyed camping and all outings with family and close friends.
He was proud of the time he served with the Utah National Guard. He was employed for over 30 years with UDOT and was foreman of his shop.
His survivors include his wife, Vickie of Centerfield; children: Eric (Dawn) Ludvigson of Mayfield, Rebecca (Jayson) Taylor of Gunnison, Cody (Hailey)Ludvigson of Centerfield, Jared Ludvigson of Centerfield; daughter-in-law, Lindsay (Randy) Freeman of West Valley City; nine grandchildren; brothers: Errol Jones of Hurricane, Douglas (Cozette) Ludvigson of Sterling, Curtis (Laurie) Ludvigson of Sterling.
He is also preceded in death by his son, Jason Lafe Ludvigson and his parents; brother, Gail; nephew, Wayne.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the Centerfield 1 st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 and on Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30.
