Gerry Hunt
Richfield, Utah
Our superman, Gerry Homer Hunt, 77, passed away September 16, 2016, at his home in Richfield, and on his terms. There is one perk to being very stubborn and that is not going until you are good and ready. He was born April 26, 1939 in Elsinore, Utah to Glen and Coye Hicks Hunt. He married Vicki Larsen on May 29, 1970 in Ely, NV.
Gerry served in the Air Force and that is where he started his career as a mechanic. He retired from the Utah Department of Transportation. He loved spending time with his grandkids and although he didn’t say much, he taught them all about the important things in life.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; and children: Laurie Daniels, Michael (Faith) Hunt, Matt (Wesley) Gallegos, Vicki Ann, Anita (Chuck) Lipsey, Connie Hunt (Charles), Lisa Hunt, Julie Tebbs and Sonja (Brett) Nowers, along with an abundance of grandchildren; siblings: Sally (Jim) Mathews, Bardell (Linda) Hunt, Miles Hunt, Judy Mills, Gwen (Nathan) Simmons, Annette Dickinson.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie Hunt; granddaughter, Talisa.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel where friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery with military rites. In lieu of flowers, tune up your car and check the air pressure in your tires—he would have wanted that.
