Gerry Christensen
Ephraim, Utah
Gerry Willard Christensen, 89, of Ephraim, was granted his wish to pass in his home, January 8, 2024, under the loving care of his children.
Born June 22, 1934 in Molen, Utah to Willard and Velma A. Christensen. Gerry served in the US Army reserves, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Upon release, he traveled to California, where he wanted to fulfill his dream to become a professional dancer. Due to a back injury the only recipients of his dreams were sweeping his sweetheart, Linda, off her feet at an LDS singles
dance (where they met) and twirling his daughters around the floor at Prom and New Year’s Eve dances.
Gerry married Linda Susan Henderson, November 21, 1970 in Pasadena, CA; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple (September 19, 1981). Daddy worked hard to support his wife and 10 children. He was a self-employed Fire Engineer Specialist with clients throughout Utah. As his children, we loved going on work trips with our daddy. He loved to share memories of his life. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is loved and will be deeply missed.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Linda Susan Henderson Christensen (1997), and son, Gerry Willard Christensen Jr. (2006).
He is survived by his children: Gaylyn (Joseph) Semadeni, Heather Christensen, Matthew John (Melody) Christensen, Suzanne (Roger) Karren, Daniel W. (Tara) Christensen, Crystal Anne Sears, Darren W. (Tessa) Christensen, Duane W. (Stacie) Christensen, and Tammy Rose (Franklin) Gonçalves; 34 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Bonnie (Joe) Thackeray and Adell Christensen.
