Jerry Cropper
Richfield, UT
Jerry Cropper, 82, finished his work here on earth March 18, 2013 at his home in Central Valley. He heard there was a horse race in Heaven. Gerald Fenn Cropper was born September 18, 1930 in Murray, Utah to Paul Pulsipher and Louisa Fenn Cropper. Jerry was raised in Salina, until his junior high years. His family then moved to Salt Lake City, graduating from South High School. He served a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States Mission. Jerry enlisted in the service of the United States military from 1959 thru 1960. He married Margie Faye Collins Jan 10, 1959 in Blanding, UT. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. Jerry and Marge lived in many places in their early years finally settling in Richfield, where he spent the rest of his life. Jerry owned and operated Jerry’s Jewelry. Jerry the Jew, as he came to be known by, loved hunting and fishing, but his real passion was horse racing. His most trusted and loved friends came from this circle and I know that he will be missed greatly.
Jerry had a generous heart. He was quietly compassionate and secretly generous to friends and family. He had a unique way of making each family member feel as though they were his favorite. He had a very eventful life that he liked to recount in stories to family and friends. Many "Jerry-isms" were born from these experiences. His love for all of us will never be forgotten. We believe he is having a great reunion now, especially with his daughter Peggy Joy. Till we meet again, love you Dad.
