Jeri McInelly
Richfield, Utah
Geraldine "Jeri" Peterson McInelly, 77, passed away April 19, 2017 in Richfield with her devoted husband by her side. She was born March 28, 1940 in Elsinore to Sylvin R Holm and Virgina Cloward Peterson. She married Douglas L. McInelly, April 1, 1967 in Ely, NV.
Jeri was born in Elsinore, but was raised in Glenwood by her parents and grandparents. Even though her father was gone a lot during WWII, she was the apple of his eye and he spoiled her whenever he was home.
She worked 25 years with the Utah State Tax Commission, Department of Motor Vehicles, everyone one knew her as the "friendly lady with the beehive hair due" when they went to the courthouse to licence and pay the taxes on their vehicles. One of her favorite hobbies was crafting dolls; she spent many hours crocheting afghans and clothes for her dolls and family members.
Jeri has suffered from complications of ill health for a number of years. She has spent countless nights at Stonehenge of Richfield in their loving care. The family extends their appreciation for the care given to her on her many stays there.
Jeri is survived by her husband, Doug, Richfield; children: Marlene (Keven) Christensen, Richfield; Kip (Donna) Nielsen, Austin; Shellie (Sheldon) Coleman, Elsinore; Wendy (Sam) Fullmer, Elsinore; step-children: Dean (Karleen) McInelly, Bryce Canyon City; Kaylon McInelly, Glenwood, FL; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; siblings: Norma Winn, West Valley City; Vaughn Peterson, WY; Ilean (Neil) Peterson, ID; Irma Lou Johnson, West Valley City; siblings-in-law: Donna Rae Barker, Monroe, Lynn (Garna) McInelly, Beaver, Irene (Louis) Brown, Lindon, Valerie (Tobe) Davies, Aurora.
