Geri Frantz
Elsinore, Utah
Geraldine Louise Bottorff Frantz, "Nanny", 81, passed away December 13, 2018, in Sevier, Utah. Geri was born in Twin falls, Idaho, on July 26, 1937, to Thelma and Clarence Bottorff. She was the fourth of nine girls. She married Morris Frantz; later divorced.
Geri moved to Elsinore, Utah, approximately 15 years ago when she transferred her employment for Walmart Stores to Richfield. She worked for Walmart for 22 years. Throughout her career at Walmart, she acquired many friends through her acquaintances with co-workers and customers. Thank you to all who loved, cared for her, and became her second family. She talked of you often and loved you.
Geri made an impact on everybody she knew or met. If you knew her, you loved her. She was compassionate, loving, giving, uplifting, funny, spirited, and beautiful. She taught us to "love all people, because there is good in everyone," and she seemed to live by that. Geri lived simply and selflessly. She persevered through hardships and difficulties; maintaining a positive attitude. Her legacy will live on and we will be forever grateful for her teachings. We will miss her dearly, and hold her in our hearts always.
Geri is survived by her children: David Murphy, Layton; Denise (Grant) Fowkes, Sevier; Diana Olson, Kanosh; and Dorene (Kasey) Elison, Riverton; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her loving sisters: Betty Hatch, Jan Shepard, Thelma (Pete) Burum, Judy Belmont, Sharon Skinner, and Karen Jimenez.
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Loise and Charlene; daughter, Julie Murphy; son, Daniel Frantz; grandsons: Brad Frantz and Dallas Olson; and great-granddaughter, Teresa Glenn Frantz.
