Georgia Mae Anderson

February 1, 1927 — May 29, 2012

Georgia Mae Cope Anderson, 85, graduated from this life with honors on Tuesday, May 29, 2012  in Brigham City, Utah. She was born February 1, 1927 in Richfield, to George Michael and Eunice Allie Wilson Cope. Georgia married Cleston R Anderson on April  17, 1951 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.  He preceded her in death May 17, 1974.
She loved to work and be outdoors.  She also loved animals and had many pets during her lifetime.  She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.    She loved to crochet, tat, and knit and cats.  Her first love however, was music.    She played the violin, cello, piano and organ.
Georgia worked many years for the Warner and Magleby mortuaries. She retired after many years of working for D-Land Title.
Georgia is survived by her children: Katherine ( Lynn) Whittaker, Kristine (Craig) Nelson, Paul Oliver (Laurie) Anderson, Gordon Cleston Anderson and Elizabeth (Mikel) Sharp;  9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: James Carl Cope, Richard Lewis (Joan) Cope, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Jensen Cope.
Also preceded in death by her  parents and six siblings.
A special thank you to Cody and Donnamae Workman for the loving care they gave Mother while she lived in her home.  Also to the Max Hartle family.
A very special thank you to Country Lane Assisted Living and their staff for the loving and compassionate care they gave to Mother for the last several months.  Thanks also to Integrity Hospice for the care and concern in helping make Mother more comfortable during her last while on earth.
Funeral services will be held  Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West , Richfield, where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am.   Interment in the Glenwood City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
