Genevieve Dewey Rose, 96, passed away December 6, 2012. She was born December 30, 1915 in Mt. View, Idaho to George Chidester and Fanny Estella Loveland Dewey. She married Gordon Winfred Rose October 17, 1937 in Redlands, California. The marriage was solemnized July 23, 1956 in the Los Angeles Temple. He preceded her in death February 8, 1993.
Genevieve was a loving, beloved mother and grandmother. All who knew her were impressed by her sincere caring and loving attitude. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband were Manti Temple workers. Genevieve served in several teaching and leadership positions including ward Primary president in two wards.
Genevieve is survived by her children: Tom Gordon (Marilyn) Rose, Karen Sue (John) Fullmer, and Nancy Lee (John) Ford; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by parents; son, Wayne Allen Rose; grandsons: Joey & Jeffry Wheeler; four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the Santaquin 16 th Ward, 250 So. 580 East , where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Utah Veteran Memorial Park at Camp Williams. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
