Gene Bramall Mendenhall, 88, beloved father and grandfather, died at his home in Richfield, June 25, 2012, after a brief, intense battle with cancer.

Gene loved people. His ready smile and genuine enthusiasm for life endeared him to all he associated with. He loved Richfield and was a vital part of main street business with Mendenhall’s Department Store for 45 years. He served in leadership positions in city, county and state capacities including city council, county commissioner, hospital board trustee and as head of many civic organizations.
Gene loved music, participating in community theater, productions and choirs throughout his life. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions, including the bishopric, scouts and the Stake Financial Clerk.
Of his many loves and endeavors, his family was most important to him and he blessed us all with his joy for life. We’re grateful for the legacy he and Mom left us.
