Gayleen Burdick
Panguitch, Utah
Gayleen Crosby Burdick, 72, left us to be with her husband, John, on October 15, 2024. She passed away in Panguitch. She was an angel here on earth and now she is our angel in Heaven. She was a perfect example of how we all should strive to be: loving, compassionate, giving, loyal, honest, never one to judge, found good in everyone, happy even in adversity and stronger than anyone knows.
Gayleen was born on September 8, 1952 to Arthur and Beverly Roe Crosby; the third child of seven. Gay was in the Panguitch High School graduating class of 1970, after which she attended and graduated from Cosmetology College of Southern Utah in July of 1971.
Gay met her loving husband John Burdick later on that same year. Their lifelong union of marriage was on March 10, 1972. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on August 7, 2008. Their love and commitment to each other through sickness and health is also an example to everyone who knew and loved them. John preceded her in death on August 21, 2010.
Gay enjoyed life to the fullest and stayed positive no matter what was handed to her to deal with. She will be loved, cherished, missed and remembered forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her siblings: Kathleen (Edward) Ping, Stephen (Denise) Crosby, Cherie (Kelly) Wood, Sharlene (Kiley) McCall; god-daughter, Jennifer (Michelle) Reale; step-children: Tammy (Bruce) Pierce, John Burdick Jr.; and too many nieces and nephews to count.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; baby girl; brothers: William Crosby, Robert (Tonja) Crosby; nephew, Jordan Roper; all her uncles, aunts and grandparents; and plenty of loved ones to welcome her to Heaven.
Cremation in the Magleby Mortuary and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Panguitch Cemetery. Gay and John’s life was filled with adventure of all kinds, therefore there will be a lot to celebrate.
Gay and her loved ones would love for everyone to come celebrate her life and lay her cremated remains to rest next to her husband, John, and daughter.
We love you Gay! Let go let God!

My angel up in heaven,
I wanted you to know
I feel you watching over me
Everywhere I go.
I wish you were with me
But that can never be
Memories of you in my heart
That only I can see.
My angel up in heaven
I hope you understand
That I would give anything
If I could hold your hand
I’d hold you oh so tightly
And never let you go
And all the love inside me
To you I would show.
My angel up in heaven
For now we are apart
You’ll always live inside of me
Deep within my heart.
