Franklin Joseph Roberts, 77, passed away August 26, 2021 in Richfield. He was born February 16, 1944 in Provo, Utah to Francis Marie Pinterilla and Melvin Joseph Roberts.
Frank was a narcotic officer for Provo City, as well as a sanitization officer. Frank loved teaching Hunter’s Education in Provo for 17 years and in Centerfield, Utah for 25 years.
Frank loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting—with bow and rifle. He’s been on every mountain range in Utah. He loved being in the mountains and the great outdoors. He was a friend to all he met. He loved animals: horses, cats and dogs. Frank was a master story-teller. He would share stories whenever he could. We will miss him and his great sense of humor.
He leaves behind his wife, Bonnie, whom he loved completely. His children: Mark (Tammy) Centerfield; Sue (Paul) Harrison, NY; Tina (Brock) Bailey, Nikki (Josh) Orr, both of St. George; stepson, Brent (Tonya) Hovinghoff, Mt. Pleasant ; son-in-law, Aaron Matthews, Centerfield; many grand and great-grandchildren; siblings: Bonnie (Paul) Houghton, and Pat (Kevin) Corbin.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kay Matthews; brother, Melvin Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fayette Ward Chapel, where friends may call Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Fayette Cemetery with military honors by the Gunnison American Legion Post #105 and Utah Honor Guard.
