For extra income, he photographed starlets when they came to entertain the troops. After his service, he became a photographer for Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Esquire magazines. He was a student of Ansel Adams, carrying on his knowledge of lighting techniques.
Frank was a man of "several wives". He was married twice before he met the love of his life at the Valley Ho in Panarama City. Impressing his beautiful future wife, his waitress at the time, by eating a whole cheesecake on a bet. Frank and Norma Jean Coffey, were wed on August 21, 1960 in North Hollywood, CA. Together for 53 years, they had a special love and admiration for each other. She preceded him in death April 19, 2013.
Frank had a love not only for his family, but for the nature of this earth. Working as a photographer, teacher of photography, a landscape artist, he shared his love of the beauty of this world by enhancing it’s beauty in memory and grace through his talents.
