Florence Gleave Christensen, 88, passed away January 19, 2013 in Richfield. She was born December 25, 1924 in Antimony to John Henry and Ellen Allen Gleave. They moved to Sigurd in 1935 and she attended school in Richfield.

She married Robert Sprague, February 9, 1946, was later divorced.

She married Dean Ralph Christensen, December 5, 1949 in Sigurd and has lived in Richfield for the remainder of her life. Their marriage was solemnized August 8, 1978 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death June 24, 2007.

Florence worked as a beautician for several years. She also worked at Blake Electric for twenty years. She was active in her church, teaching cub-scouts, Primary, Mutual, Gospel Doctrine and Relief Society. She also volunteered at the care center and the Richfield City information booth and was active in civil affairs.

She is survived by her children: Bobbette Shepard, Garn (Caryl) Christensen, Garth (Debbie) Christensen, Allen (Norma) Christensen, all of Richfield; sons-in-law, Raymond (Pam) Jensen, Monroe; Craig Ericsson, Vancouver, WA; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; son, John Robert Sprague; daughter, Lorraine Jensen; grandson, Cassidy Garn Christensen; sisters: Verona (Henry) Dutton, Hazel (Leo) Elder, Ruby (Harold) Davis, Norma (Tony) Giovengo, Iola (Ossil) Meacham.

The only treasure she acquired while here on earth was her family and they were very dear to her. She was a loving and generous person and a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who held her family close. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield East Stake Center, 800 North 500 East. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary and Saturday at the stake center from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
