Fay Larsen

August 9, 1931 — March 30, 2011

Today, March 30, 2011, Our Heavenly family is rejoicing for their angel, Fay Oldroyd Larsen has shed her cancer ridden body and has come home.

She arrived on earth, August 9, 1931 to Andrew Van and Eulida Pearl Jensen Oldroyd. She was born in Glenwood, Utah.

After Jay P. "Ragnor" Larsen returned from WWII, he and Fay were re-acquainted and were married June 17, 1946 in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death October 15, 2006 after 60 years of marriage.

Mom’s life was one of courage and compassion. She raised 2 boys and 2 girls and a granddaughter. She was a member of many organizations: the American Legion Auxilary, American Red Cross and Tops. She served in the ward Relief Society presidency. Many beds are warmed by the quilts she helped make.

Being the dutiful daughter and wife, she cared for her mother and husband until their deaths despite her own battle with cancer. Mom was awarded the "Angel of the Year" award and statue. She lived through many trials that left scars that can now be healed.

Fay is survived by children: Leslie J. Larsen of Elsinore, Christine (Greg) Jensen of Emery and Jennifer (Kevin) Dorgan of Elsinore; 3 grandchldren, Nash Roberts, Joel Larsen, Larissa Julander; 6 great-grandchildren, Raquel, Kimberly, Katelynnd, Kylee, Kristopher and Mariah; siblings, Vana (Edward) Nelson of Enoch, Jerald (MayDean) Oldroyd of Glenwood, Jack (Carol) Oldroyd of Richfield, Stanley Van (Vanda) Oldroyd of Twin Falls, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Lyle V. Larsen; grandson, Kim Jay Roberts; brother, Frances Artell (Veoma) Oldroyd.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel in Richfield where friends may call for viewing on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery.
