Eunice May Hardy

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend Eunice May Willis Widerburg Hardy passed away on Thursday morning, May 12, 2011 in Monroe, May was born Feb. 03, 1923 in Tabiona, to Earl and Leah Willis.

She spent her early years in Tabiona where her father was a forest ranger. Some of May’s fondest memories were the years she was part of the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti, Utah. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and past president of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

May is survived by her sister Lorita Brown, children Linda Hawkes, San Diego, Billie Horn, Phoenix, Ric Widerburg (Leigh), SLC, Steven Widerburg and Robert Hardy, Monroe, 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Carol May Widerburg Smith and husbands Delbert Richard Widerburg and Melvin Boyd Hardy, her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.

Special thanks to all of the kind and loving caregivers who took care of May during the past several months.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe 4th Ward Chapel, 49 East 200 North, Monroe. There will be viewing held prior to services at the church from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Monroe Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
