On February 6, 2020 we lost our "rock, teacher, hero, friend". With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eugene O Davis, age 82, of Monroe, Utah. Eugene spent his final days surrounded by loved ones in Ogden, Utah where he passed away peacefully.

Eugene’s life will be celebrated Saturday, February 15, 2020 in the LDS Chapel at 49 East 200 North, Monroe. A viewing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. with funeral services to begin at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at the Monroe Cemetery.

Eugene was the adored youngest child of Dell B Davis and Julia Rachel Olsen Davis born on February 17, 1937. He was born and raised in Provo, Utah with his 3 older siblings. After graduating from Lincoln High School Eugene joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served in Submarine Service. Eugene married his sweetheart Dixie Gordon on July 30, 1960 in Provo. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple. Eugene and Dixie moved to Monroe, Utah where they raised 6 kids. Eugene worked as a relay technician for Utah Power and Light for 34 years. After he retired he served numerous missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with his wife.

Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Dora Davis, Wayne B Davis, Lela Davis Stott.

Eugene is survived by his wife: Dixie Gordon Davis, children: Kelly M Davis (Marianne), Kristene Davis-Peterson (Darren), Kalynne Davis Holm (Eric), Karma Davis Hoffmann, Kandi Rae Davis Manning (Brandon), Karolee Davis Williams, 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
