Ethel Irene Morrell Barnes, 95, passed away January 7, 2014 at Beach Homes in Costa Mesa. She was born September 24, 1918 in Elsinore, California to Arthur Leslie and Charlotte Eugenia Stewart Morrell. She married Finnis Samuel Barnes, December 12, 1939 in Salome, Arizona. He preceded her in death, October 26, 2006.
She is survived by daughters: Betty (Skip) Allen, Costa Mesa, CA; Genie Hunter, Santa Ana, CA; and Sandy (Howard) Nason, Seattle, WA; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Wilbert Morrell, Elsinore, CA.
Also preceded in death by parents; son-in-law, Jay Hunter; siblings: a baby sister, Walter (Delta) Morrell, and Wesley (Millie) Morrell; sister-in-law, Lee Morrell.
A celebration of life will be held January18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 2850 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.
