Emily Elizabeth Hansen

December 23, 1982 - December 25, 2018

Emily was born on December 23rd, 1982 to Willa Jean and John David Hansen in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She passed away at home on December 25, 2018, following a prolonged illness. Emily loved to learn. She was particularly fond of science. She took classes at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs and Snow College in Richfield, Utah. She later earned a scholarship to study microbiology at Colorado State University. Emily had an amazing sense of humor and used humor to cope with the challenges of life.

She loved animals and was a Dog Mom to Peanut, Eve, and Dash.

Emily was a loyal friend, and her friends loved her in return.

Emily is preceded in death by her father, John Hansen. She is survived by her mother, Willa Hansen; brothers Carl and Nathanael Hansen; sister, Allison Howe; and 9 beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be given in her name to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018  at 11:00 a.m. in the Annabella Cemetery. Funeral Directors,  Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti
